A man, 61, was killed in a crash as he was crossing a street in the Queen Anne neighborhood Thursday, according to Seattle police.
A woman in her 40s driving northbound on Elliott Avenue West hit the man in the 600 block of the road before 6 p.m., police said in an online blotter post.
The man was crossing in an area not designated as a crosswalk, police said.
The Seattle Fire Department provided aid, police said, but the man died at the scene.
Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives are looking into what led to the crash, police said late Thursday.
