Archbishop Murphy 52, Lynden 14

Led by 241 yards passing and five touchdowns from quarterback Connor Johnson, Archbishop Murphy continued their dominating season beating Lynden by 38 points,to advance to the state finals. The Wildcats will play Liberty on Dec. 3 at the Tacoma Dome to determine the state 2A champion.

Kamiakin 30, Eastside Catholic 27

Neah Bay 28, Lummi Nation 22

After going into the fourth quarter down by eight points, Neah Bay came back, scoring two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to clinch a spot in the 1B state championship. A 2-yard touchdown run by Cameron Buzzell, followed by a two-point conversion, tied the game at 22. Neah Bay capped the game with an game-winning 31-yard touchdown pass. Neah Bay will play Odessa-Harrington on Dec. 3 in the 1B state title game.

Camas 45, Sumner 21

After Jack Colleto threw a pick-six late in the third quarter, Camas nervously clung to a 24-21 lead over Sumner . But a 21-point offensive explosion  in the fourth quarter by the Papermakers put the game out of reach, and clinched a spot in next week’s 4A state championship. Senior running back Michael Matthews had a tremendous performance, rushing for 97 yards and three touchdowns. Camas will play Richland next week for the state title in Tacoma.

O’Dea 35, Meadowdale 9

Richland 35, Skyview 7

A first-quarter touchdown pass was all the scoring Skyview could manage Saturday, as Richland dominated en route to a four score victory that landed them a spot in next week’s 4A state title game against Camas. Quarterback Paxton Stevens passed for 164 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Parker McCary rushed for 63 yards on 12 carries. Richland finished the game with 21 unanswered points, and snapped Skyview’s six game winning streak.

Liberty 35, Ellensburg 26

Connell 24, La Center 7

Three second-half turnovers by La Center gave Connell an early lead, and they never looked back, ending the Wildcats season one week short of a state title berth. Senior Eagles quarterback Brian Hawkins passed for only 105 yards through the air, but used his legs to propel his team forward, as he ran for 220 yards and scored two touchdowns. Connell’s defense also played well, allowing only 202 yards of total offense. The Wildcats will play Royal on Dec. 3 at the Tacoma Dome to determine the state 1A champion.

Royal 56, Deer Park 0

Corbin Christen scored the final three touchdowns of the first half for Royal, finishing with 92 total yards to lead Royal to a dominating performance over Deer Park. Royal quarterback Kaden Jenks threw for 202 yards passing, while also putting up 75 yards on the ground, as the Knights ensured they would stay alive in the fight for the 1A state title.

Napavine 31, Toledo 28

Two turnovers proved to be Toledo’s undoing in Saturday’s state 2B semifinal game against Napavine. The Tigers converted both turnovers into touchdowns, and Toledo blew a three-point  third quarter lead, ending their season. Napavine will play Liberty in next week’s state championship game.
